Fair warning... Laurenston and Eden are two of my faves so beware of some fangirl bias ahead!
The first of two novellas, Miss Congeniality by Shelly Laurenston, was a fun read and had the sense of humor I love in Laurenston's books. The heroine, Irene, was hilarious with her blatant honesty and logical thinking. A genius with absolutely no filter between her brain and her mouth made for some fun reading. I had to laugh at Irene's analytical approach to everything. It worked even during the sex scenes, where I usually don't like a lot of talking going on.
This story takes place after the third Magnus Pack book, Go Fetch, and the epilogue at the end (yeah, I know...that was redundant) ties into a scene from that book related to Miki and the-big-viking-shifter-guy-whose-name-I-just-forgot. A fun novella. I'm giving it 5 stars (fangirl, remember?).
On to the next novella....Wicked Ways by Cynithia Eden.
